“Dis nou tyd vir die toekoms…”

They walked by so quickly that I couldn’t hear the rest of their sentence. I didn’t need to though as I could see where they were going. Placards in hand and bandanas on their heads, fists gripped ready for the fight. Yes, there’s a new generation rising and no one can ignore it.

    1. Hi Crystal,

Thanks for the comment. I don’t know your particular context and background on the topic,
but would like to share my view. In the past few weeks, I have watched and read as much as
possible about all the protest action. Until now, I reserved making any comment as I believe
that my experience as a privileged white student is vastly different to that of any black student (privileged or not).
While I agree that a lot of the violence that came with the protests is disturbing,
the evidence of a generation that are standing up for what they believe is not.

Happy to discuss further so do give me a call if you want to.
